As it turns out the shortest month of the year has a tall order on love. February is the time to get cozy and cuddly, however, advising to hygge winter feels to us a bit out of sync with the times. Let’s be honest, we’ve all been home bound ‘together apart’ for months now, and those of you with new babies are learning the ropes in a brand new way.
This year, give the gift of time for self-care. One parent gets the morning sleep-in, the other the afternoon nap. Long uninterrupted showers. Time to read, watch, escape...together...apart. It is a great practice to get into for it means you can reunite over dinner refreshed and ready to celebrate each other and that beautiful creature born of your love. Big or small tokens, we’ve got you covered from our Love Baby Gift Box to single items like Oli and Carol x Agatha Ruiz de la Prada heart teether, Petite Bateau’s pj & hat heart set, or Love From Peter Rabbit board book.
In Canada, Valentine’s Day is followed by Family Day, as one naturally leads to the other. Shift from luxuriating in some alone time to celebrating the 15th by widening the reach of your love. For those of you in lockdown do drive by grandparents to blow kisses and hugs from outdoors. Do zoom and get everyone involved in a fun latte get-together with a baby au lait! Cuddle those you can and comfort safely whoever needs it. This year it counts.
From the Bonjour Baby Basket family to yours, we wish all new parents, grandparents, and the extended a Family Day of strength, happiness and togetherness even if we are apart.
With love,
Susana
