My daughters laughter carrying over from seats 7A and 7B was the perfect beginning to our three day Montreal gateway. Seeing them spend quality time warmed my heart, especially given their busy lives adulting as parents and career gals. The smile on this mama’s face started on that take-off flight and didn’t let-up until the return landing. This was bound to be one epic ‘business’ trip. For me, this opportunity to be inspired by their impeccable fashion sense and different personal style, helps direct our next round of Luxury Baby Baskets.
Our first appointment at one of our distributors of designer baby fashion followed a fantastic lunch at California born Venice Mtl. I am so grateful my girls joined me in selecting the cutest outfits for our next Summer 2020 gift basket release. In fashion, we work months ahead, often ordering out of tune with what’s going on outside our front window, or invariably out of sync with the date. The girls make this process so much easier. We selected the most adorable outfits from Laranjinha, BillieBlush, and Lili Gaufrette and can’t wait to show you! Here is a sneak peek (told ya I couldn’t wait...).
While we were there for the business of babies, we could not help but visit some adorable Montreal designer boutiques. The beautiful clothes at Boutique Unicorn and Onze, as well as, the amazing leather bags at Lowell on St. Laurent Street blew our minds. Bkind was a fave, offering made in Montreal, silky smooth, heavenly scented, hand cream and a face sponge with konjak fiber.
Now as you know, shopping does create an appetite. A girl needs fuel to keep those aesthetic senses sharpe, so please excuse this aside. Dinner at Bouillon Bilk confirmed why this resto earned a spot on Canada’s 100 Best Restaurant List. And since we are on the subject of food, hats off to vegan LOV, where the following day’s lunch hit the spot. Our final dinner at Liverpool House, was perfection on a plate. This cool farm to table restaurant from the same owners of Joe Beef, left no doubt as to why PM Justin Trudeau brought President Barack Obama here during his Canadian tour. OK, back to babies.
Appointment number two with our distributors was a breeze. Choosing the new pieces from our beloved Petit Bateau and Paz Rodriguez is always stress-free fun as we were, once again, spoiled for choice...the new prints are adorable. They will be arriving again for SS20 along with a new Spanish line - Petit Indy, which we are excited to share with you and are already processing orders and brainstorming matching accessories for the next round of luxury baskets.
Montreal is bursting with fun activities for the whole family during the summer (or indeed any season) including the awe-inspiring fireworks competition! As with all successful trips, before you know it, it’s time to go back. I can hardly wait for the repeat!
