What is in your Baby Registry - Part 1

I wish I had so many choices when I was prego with my first baby. Nowadays you can register on any baby store in the world with the click of a mouse.

There are sooo many different options…  you can register at a big box store like Toys R Us, Restoration Hardware Baby, your fave mom and pop neighbour shop, or any of the many baby stores online. Up until now you needed a different registry for each store. What a chore!!

Well now there is BabyList. You open your account and you can start adding products from ANY store.  Isn’t that something?? You can even select that one product from the baby boutique in your neighborhood that nobody else has, because your baby is special and you just love it.

It is free and you basically can add ANYTHING from any online store to your list, you send the link to your family and friends and they can choose any item from your registry and buy it directly from their website.

Some of you know that my daughter is expecting her first baby (we can’t wait to meet you baby Mila Grace), so she registered through BabyList and added lots of items from different stores, from a “Baby on Board” sign from Loblaws to an Uppa Baby Stroller.

I asked her how she decided what to put in her registry and the answer was that she did lots of research to find the best products - Thank you Google!  I have to say that she did a great job. We will review some of these items as soon as Baby Mila Grace is born. Stay tuned! But the in the meantime here are some of the her picks:

Sleepbelt: a must have as soon as the baby is born. Great to carry in your hospital bag for your first skin-to-skin contact and as a hands free nap wrap for mom and dad.

Ergo baby nursing pillow is perfect for newborn feeding. It is firm and has great arm support. This is one thing I missed the most in my time. I managed breastfeeding with regular pillows or in bed but this kind of product makes your life much easier.

Baby wearing: Yoli and Otis  baby carrier is our fave. Made with organic cotton, natural plant dyes and super comfy. It is like wearing a t-shirt. Absolutely great for newborn and beyond. Designed in Australia and made with love in India.

Nappy rash cream:  I personally tried it with my first granddaughter and it will be a staple in my second grandbaby’s nursery. Matter Company is a Canadian company that makes all their products with organic ingredients. Substance Nappy rash ointment is absolutely a must to prevent any issues on baby’s delicate skin.

Crib Mattress: No doubt that the Naturopedic Crib Mattresses are the best. Baby will spend lots of time on her mattress so it is worth every penny.  The Organic Cotton 2 in 1 Ultra Quilted mattress is my daughter's favorite but I think all of them are very great choices, it all depends on your needs. The 2 in 1 is good for the transition to a toddler bed.

These are only some of the items that my daughter added to her Baby Registry.  In a couple of weeks we will post some other “must haves” products that are great choices for new parents in our Part II of the “What is in your Gift Registry” blog.

Are you ready to start adding products to your gift registry? For limited time, when you add products from Bonjour Baby Baskets to your Gift Registry via Baby List we will give you 15% discount. Just send us an e-mail at Info@bonjourbabybaskets.com  and we will provide you with the code to share with family and friends.

What are your recommendations for a Baby Registry, we would love to hear from you.

With lots love,

Susana
