It’s Book Lovers Day.
Do you remember your first book? I’ll bet your mom does. Maybe she even kept a dog-eared copy of Goodnight Moon or The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
The earlier you start to read to your little one, the better. Even at a few months, babies are taking in the beginnings of language, colour, and yes, even routine. The calming effect of your voice and touch during reading sessions helps your bonding and their brain develop as they learn about communication. What’s more, it gets you reading to your baby and establishes a shared habit ensuring you continue as baby grows older.
So what will be your little one’s first read?
We have been including books in our luxury baby gift baskets for eight years now. They are an added touch that make a sleeper and pacifier the full ‘nighty-night’ package. From classics like The Little Prince, The tale of Peter Rabbit, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Guess How Much I Love you, Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See, to tactile soft or interactive books, we’ve got you covered no matter how many months along you are on this exciting journey.
It is never too early to make a bibliophile, nor never too late to start.
This August 9th, celebrate by getting comfy and snuggly, and surround yourself with good reads for both you and baby.
